COVID-19 (Coronavirus): Travel Restrictions

From 21 February 2022, fully vaccinated visa holders, including tourists, business travellers, and other visitors, can travel to Australia without a travel exemption.

Unvaccinated visa holders will still need a valid exemption to enter Australia and will be subject to the state and territory entry requirements.

Anyone travelling to Australia must complete the Digital Passenger Declaration, to provide their health information, vaccination status, and COVID-19 test result. The form can be started up to 7 days before travelling, but must be completed and submitted within 72 hours prior to your departure to Australia, to ensure the information provided is current.

To find out more about which visa is right for you, and to apply before you travel, use the Home Affairs Visa Finder.
